COGs TPL.

Hey all at LMPS, went to the COGs TPL with Shanon today at Foresters Beach. I found it one of the better experiences I have had since returning from my sojourn as a hippy. A lot of useful content we can use at LMPS to move forward with the work we have done already and the work about to be undertaken by the Cogs Interest Group. Thanks to Shanon for her input and suggestions. A positive day.

More to come.

  • A text ‘Better Schools, Better Teachers and Better Results ‘ was recommended. I have just purchased this for inclusion in our TPL sessions. I also found another text which I located titled ‘ Leading A Digital School’. After doing some background research into the authors and the content I decided to purchase it as well. I feel it has a lot to offer LMPS. Looking forward to developing some TPL sessions from these texts.
  • 18/8: I have just finished reading Better Schools, Better Teachers and Better Results. I highly recommend this text to all teachers, executive or not. It is by no means a complex text. It takes complex ideas and teases out the main components into implementable strategies. Moving to the digital school book. Looking forward to it.

Connected Outcome Groups

Anyone interested in being a part of a ‘Cogs Interest Group’.

I was thinking of working as a team on the ‘Connected Outcome Group A’ which looks at our natural and built environments of our land. I taught the Stage Two unit in Term One and found the significance to our local area tremendous. I propose the interest group work through the outcome group designing learning experiences which highlight and build on our unique area of Lake Munmorah.

Cheers, Glenn.
