There have been requests for the lesson study evaluations to be posted. Here are some early bird evaluations from two extremely dedicated practitioners.  The responses really demonstrate how lesson study adds value not only to the teacher’s professional learning, but also develops a deeper and richer content base.

TPL Term 3: Weeks 3 – 5.

A busy couple of weeks for TPL.

Places you need to check.

1. B & L:  Online considerations for Module 3.   This will take place over the next two weeks.  Online discussion will be a feature of this component.  A new category is set up for just this.
2. Lesson Study: I am putting a timetable up in the staffroom for you to lock in some time to reflect on your personal lesson study.  Please take note of the requirements if you would like to take advantage of this available time.  Or leave a comment and I will add you to the list.
3. Demonstration Lesson this Wednesday in 4/5O.  I have also invited the community to attend.

Term 3: SDD QT Follow Up

Thanks to Kris for all her hard work in developing the T&L QT booklet. I am attaching another way to consider embedding the QT framework within your T&L program. There are hard copies in the school.

There are a number of ways to use this doc, two being:

• Select 1 dimension and note where you can address each element within. Being a fluid document you can alter and change throughout the teaching cycle.
• Select 2 elements from each dimension and do the same for the unit of work. Again you can scribble all over the page and use your element of design to enhance your program.

I have used this format for a number of years and find it great for unit reflection and subsequent improvement.
